NERDS AT SXSW LISTEN TO FREE SPEECH DEBATE OVER FACEBOOK AND TWITTER. GEORGE WASHINGTON LAW SCHOOL PROFESSOR FAILS THE CONSTITUTION TEST.

Once again, it is time for South by Southwest, also known by the initialism SXSW, the nerdfest / Internet trade show of sorts that goes every March in Austin, Texas. At this year's twenty-something, big-tent nerdism revival and platform to shape public opinion by sway-masters, the organizers held a panel discussion over censorship by executives of social media giants, Facebook and Twitter.

George Anders over at Forbes wrote that George Washington University law professor Jeffrey Rosen urged Twitter and Facebook to allow just as much free speech as the U.S. government permits under the First Amendment. It's quite sad to discover that a law professor believes that Congress and the President allow free speech.

As part of the agreement known as the U.S. Constitution that establishes the Congress as well as the Presidency, the Congress has a duty not to create any law, which would abridge (lessen, diminish, curtail) the freedom of free speech. Further, freedom, the Old English word for liberty, means the absence of law in the presence of legislators and their agencies, or that which we call government.

The essence of freedom is no law. Without law, legislators cannot assign duty nor right. Every law requires both a right and a corresponding duty.

In spite of bogus Supreme Court rulings, never should anyone ever get prosecuted for anything said, anytime in a public forum. However, neither Twitter nor Facebook are public forums.

The execs of Facebook and Twitter are right to take down anything, anytime, not because anyone in particular might be offended by what someone else expresses. Rather execs are right to do so because they are the stewards of those who have property, which is the right of ownership and not what is owned) in Facebook or in Twitter.

If you owned a comedy club and Michael Richards took the stage ranting, shouting the word niggers, you would be right to yank Richards from the stage. The same goes for the execs of Facebook and Twitter.

21st CENTURY CRIMEAN WAR. OH, AND SARAH PALIN IS WRONG STILL

In what looks like a simmering, could-be civil war in Ukraine, Putin has sent more Russian troops to protect Crimeans. RT reports that thousands of pro-Russian demonstrators across eastern Ukraine and Crimea are protesting against the new government, with administration buildings being seized in several cities.

Crimeans mostly see themselves Russians and not Ukrainians precisely because they are Russians and not merely Russian speakers. Crimea is an autonomous republic. It's name is Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The people of the Crimea ought to decide their own fate. It's a solid bet the people of Crimea aren't borderland (Ukraine) people and want to rule themselves.

Contrary to the ongoing psy op waged against Americans by media workers supporting the E.U. and U.S. political establishments, Russian troops under Putin have not invaded Crimea. Russians already had an active military base in the Crimean city of Sevastopol. To say the Russians have invaded Crimea would be to say Americans invade Deutschland anytime the U.S. Army sends additional troops to Germany.

As to the rest of Ukraine, the country needs to break up in an orderly manner without shots being fired, in two, at least, by oblasts. West Ukraine should consist of oblasts of the north and west. South Ukraine should consist of the oblasts of the east and south.

Of the 44.6 million now living in Ukraine, it's a fair bet that 47.75% of people living in the whole of the current Ukraine want their own country. That's 19.3 million in the oblasts of the south and east and almost 2 million living in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Totalitarian Big Government supporters in the USA, this time, Republicans, have crowed that Sarah Palin has been proven right because in 2008, Palin claimed Putin would have Russians invade Ukraine, a prediction for which many mocked her. Of course, increasing troop strength at a welcomed Russian base hardly could be construed by any straight thinker as an invasion.

However, Ms. Palin seemed spot on when she said, "After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence." What should Americans expect from the college school teacher and small-time community organizer, Obama.

Interestingly, people of the once-existing  Ukrainian People's Republic (1917–1920) embraced national personal autonomy whereby citizens who identified with their respective ethnic group joined their representative cultural assembly, which had financial powers such as taxation, spending and budgeting for their respective ethnicities.

Like most lands of Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire, many contested for the land between the Baltic Sea to the north and the Black Sea to the south, the lands that today constitute Poland, Lithuania, Lativa, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania. Kievan Rus at its greatest extent in the mid-11th century stretched from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the south.  After the Kievan Rus, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania arose, incorporating parts of the former Kievan Rus and grew to become the  largest state in Europe by the 1400s.

After the Grand Duchy came the dualistic state of Poland and Lithuania, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth ruled by one monarch to rule the region. At its height, Poland-Lithuania was one of the largest and one of the most populous countries of 16th- and 17th-century Europe consisting of 11 million and spanning 390,000 square miles (1,000,000 km2) at its peak in the early 1600s.

After the commies came to power in Russia during Red October, two governments arose in Ukraine,  the Ukrainian People's Republic run from Kiev and the Ukrainian People's Republic of Soviets run from Kharkiv. Leaders from each pushed ordinary Ukrainians into civil war.

In WE WANT TO BE FREE. UKRAINIANS WANT WHAT IS RIGHT. FREEDOM, I explained how politicians don't care so much about territory as  they do about people. Always, it's about people. The political establishment hates losing people because they hate losing the ability to control property of others and thus the ability to scoop up taxes, which are an unearned share of profits taken by force if necessary.

The story of Ukrainians on both sides, the pro-Europe Ukrainians and the pro-Russia Ukrainians is the story of everyone, be them Catalonians, Basque, Flemish, Bretons, South Tyrolians. Millions of people living in Europe want to be free from arbitrary borders imposed upon them from treaties imposed after world wars.

The Independent from the UK reports on separatists gaining ground throughout Europe as people everywhere grow fed up with politicians, their mismanagement of finances, their excessive taxation and their excessive regulation — all signs of totalitarianism. Chief hot spots of likely separatist successes include Scotland in the UK, Basque and Catalonia in Spain, Flanders in Belgium.

European countries need to break up. The European Union needs to break up. Most of all, the Eurozone needs to break up.

Breaking up concentrated power is the best way for individuals to gain liberty and thus freedom.

The more banking systems Europeans can have, each with its own cash, the more conservative these systems shall be. The more conservative the banking systems, the more banking serves short-term commercial interests and the less banking serves politics.

All you need to do is compare how well those of German-speaking South Tyrol manage their governmental affairs within the borders of Italy versus Italian-speaking Italians and how they mismanage their financial affairs. Italians of Rome have needed their seventh bailout in seven years.

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT DECREES ITSELF AS MASTER PIMP FOR ALL SEX WORKERS IN EUROPE

On Wednesday, February 26, the European parliament voted for resolution to criminalize the purchase of sex but not the sale of sex. In Europe, this is the known as the Nordic model of prostitution. The resolution passed by almost a 2.5 to 1 margin (343 for, 139 against, 105 abstained). You can read all about the silliness in the U.K.'s Guardian.

Mary Honeyball a spokesman for the labor party of the EU parliament called the continuance of prostitution "exploitation of women," the new measure a "nuanced approach" to tackle prostitution by purportedly "punishing men who treat women's bodies as a commodity" and doing all this without punishing women "who are driven into sex work."

By fining men while letting women work as paid whores, the irony here is that government has become the pimp, the pimp who wants his girls working and who wants to collect fees from customers called fines.

Women aren't driven into sex work. Prostitutes like the work. It's fast, easy, and has a high-pay to low-skill ratio.

Worse, these silly European parliamentarians suffer from the false belief that bodies are being traded as commodities. Bodies aren't being traded as commodities, pleasure is. For a people who earn their living trading votes for favors, one would think parliamentarians would fully understand prostitution and how it works.

What is the real problem? Government, the created creature has grown beyond society, the creator. This is the true evil.

When a people live under a law for everything, that living is called totalitarianism. That is what totalitarianism means. It doesn't mean communism or socialism, though those kinds of collectivism tend to lead to totalitarianism.

For people to be free, there must be freedom, or those realms for individuals where there is no officialdom. Said another way, there must be liberty, or where the law (government) is content to leave all alone and thus not create duties and rights.

Government should be tiny, hardly noticeable in the lives of the people. Instead, the lives of the people are tiny and government is all pervasive.

People get what they deserve. This is what people deserve for wanting government to provide income-giving welfare instead of merely protection of any individual and his property (ownership in stuff) from foreign mobs and domestic ones.

The right act of course, is to de-criminalize prostitution and restore it to its rightful place, liberty, or that arena where The Law is content to leave individuals alone.

Of course, the real reason for regulation and condemnation of anything is revenue for over-sized salaries and pensions for bureaucrats and politicians. If they fine prostitutes, they look evil. There aren't that many working whores so the total take is small.

However, if they fine the johns, revenues shall increase. There are tens of thousands of potential fine-paying johns.

By claiming to stamp out yet another evil, politicians can pander to feminist sympathizers as well as religionists. And this is the driver for the latest trend sweeping Europe.

If you want to better understand prostitution from the minds of prostitutes, read The Honest Courtesan. This woman, a former prostitute, blogs about prostitution.

Of course, web cam workers who masturbate on cam engage in a kind of prostitution, trading pleasure for bank credit convertible into cash. So too, porno video sex workers engage in prostitution, working with other prostitutes and having their work recorded to video, also trading pleasure for bank credit convertible into cash.

The advance of government toward totalitarianism never leads to progress. True progress arises from autonomy, or that which is self-rule.

LAW VS LIBERTY AND THE AMERICAN WAY.

Because many fail to understand civil jurisprudence, they don't understand the American Way. Most Americans will live from cradle to grave without understanding the system under which they live.

Most Americans have heard these words — liberties, rights, duties, disabilities, liabilities, wrongs — but only through TV shows and movies or worse from public educators, you know, unionized school marms.

RIGHTWAY ROGER

Government sponsored marriages?  Meh.  There should be no federal or state government sponsored advantage or disadvantage to marriage.  The less government defines us, the more freedom we have.

ME

Agreed. Law is about making uniform ruling for judges in sorting out matters of duty and right, or that what gets called civil jurisprudence.

If individuals can be held to duty to members of group, there exists only dictatorship. It is the essence of dictatorship — that some can enrich themselves from the outlay of more merely by having membership.

LOST LEFTY LARRY

Government should keep their noses out of what is essentially a cultural institution.  The only exception is where civil liberties are being violated.

ME

But only government — politicians and bureaucrats — can violate civil liberties.

Liberties are acts of doing what one pleases, acts one can do without being prevented by law. The sphere of legal liberty is that sphere of activity within which law is content to leave oneself alone.  Liberty is when the law allows to one's will a sphere of unrestrained activity. Liberty is the absence of duty imposed upon oneself. Liberty is what you may do innocently.

Right is when law limits the liberty of others on one's behalf. Right is what others must do on your behalf, that is, their duty.

Power is what you can do effectively. Power is when law assists one actively in making one's will effective.

One uses one's liberties without protest from the law. One enjoy's one's rights through law by controlling the acts of others over one's behalf. One uses one's powers with active assistance from the law in making itself the instrument of one's will.

Liberties and rights are not the same. Right and power are not the same. These words are not synonyms under law.

LOST LEFTY LARRY

No, civil liberties can be violated by both public and private entities.

ME

When an overzealous cop stops you from doing something for which there is no law, your civil liberty has been violated. Yet, if someone trespasses on your land, your right has been violated and the trespasser has failed in performing a duty not to trespass.

If you live next door to Camp Pendleton and while practicing war games, marines wander on your land and blow up your cabin, those marines violated your civil rights but not your civil liberties. The Marines had duty to not trespass.

Say, you are walking on Venice Beach promenade taking pictures of a cop arresting a druggie and the cop tells you to stop and produce identification for which you refuse. Subsequently, on your refusal, the cop arrests you. Your civil liberties have been violated as there are no laws empowering police in California to make you produce I.D.

You are at liberty to be in California without I.D.

Only agents of government can violate your civil liberties. Liberty means absence of law, that which government otherwise has no concern.

Private entities can violate civil rights, but not civil liberties. Others can violate your rights by failing to do duty to you. For every right there must be a corresponding duty. If you have the right to X, that means, someone else has the duty to perform X or refrain in their behavior from you getting to do X.

LOST LEFTY LARRY

What about the FLSA? Doesn't that protect civil liberties?

ME

FLSA is law and establishes rights and duties.  Law only ever establishes rights and duties. The absence of law is liberty.

FLSA establishes rights to such thing as overtime pay in particular occupations if such occupations involve interstate commerce. Employers have duty imposed upon then to fulfill rights of those granted and established under law, e.g., employers must pay overtime to those who have worked under overtime rules of the FLSA.

Employers who are obligated by law (have duty) to abide by FLSA and failing to comply open themselves to liability, which gives legal remedy to others.

LOST LEFTY LARRY

Civil liberty is actually defined as the freedom of a citizen to exercise customary rights, as of speech or assembly, without unwarranted or arbitrary interference by the government which is an important distinction.

ME

Customary rights deals with customary law, which is any rule of action to which men voluntarily conform their action. It involves de facto observance. Customary rights of customary law do not have the nature of civil law since the essence of civil law is recognition of a state in the administration of justice.

Civil law, which is custom of the state, to a big extent finds basis on precedent customary law, which is merely custom of society.

Again, the absence of law defines civil liberty. The sphere of legal liberty is that sphere of activity within which law is content to leave oneself alone. Liberty means absence of law, that which government otherwise has no concern.

LOST LEFTY LARRY

Just wow. The absence of law is the definition of anarchy not liberty. You're a damn anarchist!

ME

Wow, just wow. The absence of law in the presence of government is liberty, not anarchy.

Anarchy means no government at all. It means without (a) an overlord (archy).

Maybe this will help you sort out your beliefs.

One with disability lacks power to determine the legal relations of others (authority) or the ability  to determine one's own (capacity). When politicians don't establish law giving themselves authority (power) to do X and then do X against anyone, they have violated that one's civil liberty.

Sometimes politicians voluntarily bind their agency to the law, thus imposing duty upon their agents. If their agents fail to do their duty, they have violated the civil rights of others.

So for example, the U.S. adheres to its own employment law, which gives workers rights and imposes duties upon employers, in this case, the U.S. itself.

Anyone has the duty not to commit murder or not to defraud another. Anyone has liability in debt such that another who holds the right of action can sue for collection of said debt.

In civil law, liability is right of action. In criminal law, liability is right of prosecution.

Jurisprudence doesn't change because you want to misinterpret it your way.

CASHING IN THE BILL OF RIGHTS. TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY.

The American way of life is the way of liberty. Said another way, it is the way of self-rule, of autonomy. At least it used to be.

There were Americans long ago who had it right. Government is a creature of men and women living in society of property, a creature that must be controlled and contained. The creature never should never grow bigger and stronger than its creators.
That is why those Americans gave us the Bill of Rights. All of the Bill of Rights deals with the duties the then newly formed federal government had with respect to any individual.

However, since World War 1, successive Congresses have stripped Americans of the American way, little-by-little. Many Americans have been content to let this happen as long as they have gained income through subsidy, welfare or monopoly.

The biggest failing in discourse over the Bill of Rights is the lack of talk emphasizing the duties of Congress and agents of government has to any American.

The Bill of Rights has nothing to do with the states in compact, which is what the rest of the Constitution details. The only mention of states within the Bill of Rights is in the 10th.

A reading of the Bill of Rights with the words of then-prevailing English explained reveals how far many Congresses have gone against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. What most fail to see is how the U.S. Supreme Court works in favor of its employer, Congress.

Acts in the 20th Century and even more so in the 21st Century have been disastrous to Americans and our Bill of Rights.

There isn't a United States without full adherence to the Bill of Rights. The Constitution becomes null and void without full compliance by Congress and its executive in their duties to our rights and their prohibition from our liberties.

1st Amendment

Congress can't make laws and thus diminish liberty (autonomy, or self-rule) regarding religion, public speaking, public congregation, public petition.

2nd Amendment

Congress and its executive have a duty not to interfere in anyone's expressly stated right both to possess (keep) weapons of any kind (arms) — guns, knives, spears, axes, shields — and to bring forth (bear) those weapons whenever.

3rd Amendment

Congress is denied the right and thus any individual lacks the duty to house any soldier during peace — when Congress has not declared war. Only owners of houses have the duty to house soldiers during times when Congress has declared war, but Congress can only exercise this right if describing the exact manner of such housing with law.

4th Amendment

Congress and its executive have a duty not to interfere in anyone's expressly stated right of possession (secure) over themselves, their houses and contents thereof, their documents and everything they have produced (effects). Only when an agent of the Federal Government has a warrant that specifically and in detail describes exactly where should be searched, exactly what should be taken in possession (seized), and exactly who should be taken in possession (seized), can such an agent act.

5th Amendment

Congress and its executive have a right to assemble a Grand Jury but have a duty to present legal document containing a charge (indictment) against anyone for a capital crime.

Anyone has the right to ignore any claims of having committed a capital crime, unless Congress exercises its right to assemble a Grand Jury and perform its duty of indictment.

Congress and its executive have the right to ignore the foregoing involving military personnel during times when Congress has formally declared war or when there has been decree of public danger.

Anyone has the right not to be tried twice for the same crime. Anyone has the right to not testify against himself.

Thus, government has the duty to not attempt to try anyone twice. Anyone of government has the duty to not try to force someone to testify against himself.

Therefore, government lacks authority for torture. Anyone of government has the duty not to try to trick anyone into testifying against himself.

Congress and its executive have the duty to establish law and then perform in adherence to that law before taking anyone's life or right of ownership (property) in anything or before restricting anyone's liberty (autonomy, self-rule).

When Congress and its executive have fulfilled their duty to establish law to take away anyone's right of ownership (property) in something so that all Americans can use it (public), Congress must pay that one the prevailing market price (just compensation; equitable weighing of one thing against another) and not merely any sum they feel like paying.

6th Amendment

Congress and its executive have the duty to prosecute anyone (liability) in open court (public) and to do so swiftly (speedy; without delay). Thus, anyone has the right to be prosecuted only in open court and in short time from when being charged with a crime.

Anyone accused has the right to be judged by an impartial jury. Congress and its executive have the duty to assemble an impartial jury.

Congress and its executive have the duty to define legal districts and prosecute anyone only in that district.

Anyone accused has the right to be judged only within the court district where the alleged crime has been committed.

Anyone accused has the right to be told the reason for action (cause) and what supposedly happen (nature; course of things).

Congress and its executive have the duty to present witnesses.

Congress and its executive have the duty to create law which establishes the means for anyone accused to have supporting witnesses (witnesses in his favor).

Congress and its executive have the duty to create law which establishes the means for anyone accused to have a lawyer (Assistance of Counsel for his defence).

Anyone has the right to have supporting witnesses (witnesses in his favor). Anyone has the right to have lawyer.

7th Amendment

Anyone has the right to a jury at trial when facing a loss of more than twenty dollars as the outcome.

Anyone has the right to not face twice in subsequent court the same facts presented in a case when that one faces a loss of more than twenty dollars as the outcome.

8th Amendment

Congress and its executive have the duty to not impose oppressive (excessive) bail.

Congress and its executive have the duty to not impose oppressive (excessive) fines.

Congress and its executive have the duty to not impose neither rude, unfeeling, bloody (cruel) punishment nor not ordinary, not custom (unusual) punishment.

9th Amendment

Merely listing the foregoing rights does not give Congress the right to later define duty upon anyone in other matters not contained in the Constitution, stripping anyone of liberty and imposing duty upon them.

10th Amendment

Unless expressly stated in the Constitution, Congress and its executive lack the authority (power)  to override the capacity (power) anyone has in liberty (autonomy, self-rule).

As well, when the Constitution prohibits the States' legislatures and their executives from having authority (power), anyone keeps his capacity (power) in liberty (autonomy, self-rule).

Only when the Constitution fails to prohibit the States' legislatures and their executives from having authority (power), can the States' legislatures and their executives take it upon themselves to establish law and thus imposing duty and conferring right.

WE WANT TO BE FREE. UKRAINIANS WANT WHAT IS RIGHT. FREEDOM.

I am the Ukrainian, the native of Kiev ... I want you to know why thousands of people all over my country are on the streets.
There is only one reason. We want to be free from a dictatorship. We want to be free from the politicians who only work for themselves, who are ready to shoot, to beat, to injure people just for saving their money, just for saving their houses, just to save their power.
We are civilized people, but our government are barbarians. We want our courts not to be corrupted.
We want to be free.
I know that maybe tomorrow we'll have no phone, no Internet connection and we will be alone here. And maybe policemen will murder us, one after another, when it will be dark here.
We have this freedom in our hearts. We have this freedom in our minds.

Two maps reveal that Ukraine is two countries, not one and thus should break up. However why can't a break up happen in a civil way?

It's not so much about territory. It's about people. The political establishment hates losing people because they hate losing the ability to control property of others and thus the ability to scoop up taxes, which are an unearned share of profits taken by force if necessary.

As I explained in LAW VS JUSTICE. GOVERNMENT VS SOCIETY. POLITICS VS YOU, the only legit reason for government is to protect the individual and his property from a mob and to certify claims about property when in a society of property so that men can engage in trade, which is the purchase and sale of property, rather than war among each other.

Government evolves from society. However, society does not evolve from government. Before government there is society. Before society there are only individuals.

Society isn't built. Society is individuals as strangers merely who form a society of property for mutual benefit of trade, self-interest and self-expression. The only society in which strangers can live is a society of property. Government springs forth to enlarge the circle of strangers.

However, when government, the created creature, becomes the master over those who created it, the created, that is, those of government, imposes all kinds of evil upon the creator, the people in society of property.

The story of Ukrainians is the story everyone. It's the story of Catalonians who long to be free. The Ukrainian story is the story of Basques, the story of the Flemish, the Bretons in France, the story of many in Europe. Millions of people living in Europe want to be free from arbitrary borders imposed upon them from treaties imposed after world wars.

The story of Ukainians also is the story of Americans whose federal government has become an uncontrollable monster of epic proportion.

Arguably, everyone of the world would be safer if everyone could assert his or her right of self-determination. With no countries of scale, it would be hard for massive armies to form. It is hard to see there could be a want to marshal resources into making weapons of mass-scale murder and destruction rather than the want to make property for trade.

Contrary to what most believe, the European Union needs to break up. European countries need to break up. The United Nations needs to disband. Even the USA needs to break up.

Commerce and merchant law needs to rule the earth over.

No people can claim the crown of enlightenment, championing democracy if in their democracies, they force thousands and tens of thousands of people to live under their rule.

CAPITALISM. BECAUSE WITHOUT IT, YOU WOULD BE LIVING AS A BARE SUBSISTENCE SAVAGE

Capitalism means living by using property that yield goods during production to produce a surplus of another product and hoping to sell that surplus for a price such that the sum of sales exceeds the cost to gain those sales.

Said another way, Capitalism means living by using capital in pursuit of ongoing exchange of buying power.

Property means ownership, a bundle of rights —  right of possession (Jus Possidendi), right of using (Jus Utendi), right of destroying, alienating (Jus Abutendi), right of recovery when found in the wrongful possession of another (Jus Vindicandi).

Bare subsistence means consuming as fast as producing. This is what toilers do when not enabled to be efficient and profitable by those with superior intelligence.

Competitive commercialism has raised all of mankind through all time above bare subsistence.

This is done through invention that innovates under self-interest. We have words for these concepts: CAPITALISM, FREE MARKETS, ENTERPRISE, THRIFT, INGENUITY.

Poverty is the default starting status for all humans. It is through efficiency that leads to surplus and surplus that creates credit that leads to exchange, lifting others to specialize and become efficient, which sows the seed for forever ongoing prosperity.

Laborers would toil with brute force barely producing anything but bare subsistence if not for the geniuses who devices means of efficiency. It is the originality of the few, the shrewd thinkers, who bring efficiency to the toiling laborer and in so doing, raises up the laborer from being merely a bare subsistence savage.

Humans are insatiable in their wants. No sooner that one want gets met that a newer one takes its place.  It is through efficiency of production that achieves new things of wealth, which can get exchanged for these wants. New wants require workers to take up the call.

Tribalists the earth over, whether in history or in contemporary times live by bare subsistence precisely because they believe in communal ownership and reject property. If nature blesses them in any year, providing surplus, they swap through barter.

Without property, the bundle of rights that include possession, use, destruction, transfer and recovery from wrongful possession, there cannot can not be liberty.

Because they don't have property, money fails to arise in their lives in any meaningful way and thus credit fails to materialize. Without property and trade reckoned by money, tribalists never shall escape bare subsistence living, or what all recognize as poverty.

People escape poverty and enter into authentic prosperity through efficiency of wanted production. When the day comes that all others rid themselves of politicians is the day that mankind shall enter into Utopia.

It is most natural for any of mankind to better herself or better himself rather than remaining stagnant for all of one's days in poverty. Those who remain stagnant for their days, who stick out their hands or who rely upon the violence of others for their existence are but caricatures of humans, gargoyles, grotesque, distorted.

Never in the history of humans have politicians lifted people from poverty. Politicians can only take by implied force from the efficient and dole to the inefficient.

Activist governance, the kind whereby politicians can dictate what one can do with property, reduces property to mere privilege. At bedrock, activist governance is what is wrong with American life today.

Defensive governance, the kind whereby men come into harmony to protect property and thus echo the goodness of nature, is the only justification for governance of any kind.

Men can first attest the word capital into English from the early 1200s, from the Old French capital, in turn from the Latin capitalis meaning of the head and thus that which is chief, first.

By the 1610s, English speakers began saying capital in its financial meaning taking such from the medieval Latin word capitale meaning stock, that which gets sold, that which one has property to sell.

The coinage of the word capitalism arises from 1854, meaning state of having capital, of having that which can be sold in exchange.

Speakers can give precise meaning with words. Not knowing what these words mean causes mischief in the minds.

AN ANTHEM OF FREEDOM. GET YOUR TEETH INTO A SMALL SLICE OF THE CAKE OF LIBERTY

Of course, most get caught up in the phrase sex and drugs and rock and roll. Though almost all are obsessed with sex, many proclaim sex as somehow bad when discussed.

Many decry as evil drugs taken for kicks and sold by competitive entrepreneurs not approved by politicians. Yet, these same ones see no contradiction in taking drugs for kicks under the false claims of ailments when those drugs get sold by politically-approved vendors. If you doubt the latter, discover what drug seeking behavior is and how it relates to the Vicodin and Oxycontin markets.

Yet, Ian Dury gave us something far deeper when he penned and produced his most famous work. A study of the lyrics reveals why this song fits well as an anthem of freedom, the realm where each man and each woman is self-sovereign.

The gist here is

  1. Suffer from your silly ways, your false beliefs or change by throwing them out the window
  2. There are other ways to live if you strive to find out
  3. Don't do business you don't like, that is don't work at what you don't like.
  4. Explore your preferences regardless of the peer pressure of others — don't wear their drab grey
  5. Don't sell yourself short. Hone your skills. Find the markets where you are wanted.
  6. Bite into a small slice of the cake of liberty. It's full of flavor you'll like. You'll want ever more once you do.

On top, musically, the song rocks. The stripped-down arrangement features a catchy thematic riff, infectious bass lines, clever phase-shifted chord overlays and a tasty sweet roadhouse piano solo.

Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Is all my brain and body need
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Are very good indeed

Keep your silly ways or throw them out the window
The wisdom of your ways, I've been there and I know
Lots of other ways, what a jolly bad show
If all you ever do is business you don't like

Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Is very good indeed

Every bit of clothing ought to make you pretty
You can cut the clothing, grey is such a pity
I should wear the clothing of Mr. Walter Mitty
See my tailor, he's called Simon, I know it's going to fit

Here's a little piece of advice
You're quite welcome it is free
Don't do nothing that is cut price
You know what that'll make you be
They will try their tricky device
Trap you with the ordinary
Get your teeth into a small slice
The cake of liberty

THE SPEECH ALL AMERICANS OUGHT TO HEAR, OVER AND OVER

If you haven't, you better give V for Vendetta a viewing.

Good evening, London.
Allow me first to apologize. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of the everyday routine, the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, whereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful, bloody struggle are celebrated with a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly, no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat.
There are, of course, those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones and men with guns will soon be on their way.
Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.
And the truth is there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression — and where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.
How did this happen? Who is to blame? Certainly there are those who are more responsible than others and they will be held accountable. But again, truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty you need only look into a mirror.
I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense.
Fear got the best of you.  And in your panic, you turned to the now High Chancellor Adam Sutler. He promised you order. He promised you peace. And all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.
Last night, I sought to end that silence. Last night, I destroyed the Old Bailey to remind this country of what it has forgotten.
More than 400 years ago, a great citizen wished to embed the 5th of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice and freedom are more than words. They are perspectives.
So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest that you allow the 5th of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me, one year from tonight outside the gates of Parliament.
And together, we shall give them a 5th of November that shall never, ever be forgot.

BOWIE AND SNOWDEN

In the wake of Edward Snowden's whistle blowing on the NSA spying on us every waking second of our lives, it is a good time for everyone to reflect on works like Orwell's 1984 and Huxley's Brave New World.

Security never is freedom. Ask yourselves why are so many of the world so angry with Americans which makes them want to blow up us. We should be friends with all the earth over, spreading love through music and movies and goods.

In the meantime, have a listen to Bowie singing about the savage jaw of 1984. Herbie Flowers lays down some of the sweetest bass lines of the rock-disco fusion era of rock music.

You said it wouldn't last (Patriot Act), but I guess we enrolled (permanently gave up on Freedom).

Someday they won't let you, so now you must agree
The times they are a-telling, and the changing isn't free
You've read it in the tea leaves, and the tracks are on TV
Beware the savage jaw of 1984

They'll split your pretty cranium, and fill it full of air
And tell that you're eighty, but brother, you won't care
You'll be shooting up on anything, tomorrow's never there
Beware the savage jaw of 1984

Come see, come see, remember me?
We played out an all-night movie role
You said it would last, but I guess we enrolled
In 1984 (who could ask for more)
1984 (who could ask for more)

I'm looking for a vehicle, I'm looking for a ride
I'm looking for a party, I'm looking for a side
I'm looking for the treason that I knew in '65
Beware the savage jaw of 1984

Come see, come see, remember me?
We played out an all-night movie role
You said it would last, but I guess we enrolled
In 1984 (who could ask for more)

INCOME TAXATION. IT'S THEFT.

Can you imagine if every businesswoman demanded 50% of your income to sell you a bag of groceries? You could only eat for a few days.

You gain your wages by selling your capital, which are your skills through time. After you pay your living expenses, what remains from your wages is your profit.

All income taxation is a share of profits unearned by the taxer. For those not collecting welfare, politicians have not invested in you. Politicians have not given you cash in hopes of a return on investment.

Politicians already collect way too much from you. Is 35% not enough? Is 50% not enough? So few question when politicians take from anyone 50% of her or his income through income taxation through federal and state means.

Involuntary income taxation is nothing more than theft of a man or woman's time and as such taxing anyone's life and hence is a kind of slavery.

How much do politicians need?
